'durvasudu' is the name of an angry sage (in a South Indian language called Telugu) from the great Indian epic 'Mahabharata'. So you have the reason for the title and the stories are my rants about everything I come across.

A wiki introduction to telugu
A lot of people had already posted enough material on the web. So I am not trying to reinvent the wheel. This is needed on my blog as 'Telugu' is my mother tongue and if someone needs introduction, this is the fastest way to learn about it. As many language experts noted,(దేశ భాషలందు తెలుగు లెస్స!) Telugu is one of the sweetest languages and anything I say about it is less.

How to add a WSDL file to an ASP.net project:
1. open a web application project in visual studio 2003 (VS)
2. add the wsdl file to the project (physically copy the file)
3. See if the file is avaialble on the web server
4. open web references dialog in VS.
5. use url to refer to the wsdl file on the web server
eg: http://localhost/wsdl
6. once it is added and saved all the web service methods are available to the current project.

Oracle Ref Cursor
When building one of these to return data to the calling program, always maintain the same order and number of fields both in the declaration and body of a procedure or function or package.
Java Mail
Here is a sample that is explained in detail.

When you use this make sure the port 25 is available on the SMTP Server. Without that, you get connectivity errors.

“I will” – home rules for our 5 year old kid
I will get up by 7 AM and brush my teeth
I will eat my breakfast, lunch or dinner within 15 minutes
I will listen to mommy and daddy
I will not ask anyone for gifts other than my parents
I will behave when we go out to parties or any other places
I will not ask for toys and snacks every time we go out
I will play with my little brother and treat him carefully
I will take a shower as soon as I come home from school
I will do my home work as soon as I come home from school
I will go to bed by 9 PM
I will drink my milk every day to grow big and strong
I will eat all vegetables and whatever mommy makes at home
I will not ask for restaurant food every day
I will play by myself quietly whenever my parents are busy
I will not talk or make sounds when my parents are talking or on the phone
I will be polite and friendly to all of family members, friends and strangers
I will use the computer when nobody is using it
I will not write on walls, carpet or any other place except on paper
I will not spill juice or milk every where
I will sit at the dining table every time I drink or eat
I will not watch television more than 2 hours a day
I will learn new things every day
I will tell my parents about all I learnt in school every day
I will finish all my food at school
Feel free to improvise this list.

Plato's Psychic prison
Guys and gals,
If you have a minute in your life, read about this concept. I came across this in a text book for a course called -"Organizational Management". I provided the details of the book below, but I am sure you can get related information on the web. It reveals all the maladies of an organization and root causes. It is very powerful. It just opens your eyes to all the realities of work life. Good luck!!

VBScript Runtime Error '800a0046' Permission denied
I have an intranet application built using ASP 3.0 and IIS 5.0. All it does is serve some PDF documents from oracle database to IE users on demand. A couple of users add these forms to the site (sort of application administrators) and when I tried to test that functionality, I was getting the above error message and went through some research (by the way the upload process uses FileSystemObject in ASP). KB articles 197619 and some more discussed about the problem, but the solutions did not really work for me.
So I added the so called admin users to administrator group locally to the physical folder of the application files on IIS box and asked them to try the site. Ola! It started working. Of course, I still get the error if try using any other accounts other than the ones I already gave full control. Though temporarily, I am off the hook, I want to solve this the right way. What was wrong here?
